Dr. Kapil Kumar
Assistant Professor, NIT Delhi
Dr. Kapil Kumar is currently working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Delhi. He obtained his M.Tech in Environmental Science & Engineering (2005) from Guru Jambeshwar University of Science & Technology, Haryana and Ph.D. in Water and Environmental Engineering (2012), from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Before joining NIT Delhi in 2015, he worked as an Assistant Professor at Doon University Dehradun's School of Environment and Natural Resources and BTKIT, Dwarahat, Almora (Uttarakhand Technical University). He has extensive research experience in the field of wastewater treatment research, including water and wastewater treatment technologies, waste to energy, air pollution, and climate change. He has been a member of numerous cutting-edge research teams and has first-author publications in numerous prestigious and peer-reviewed journals. Apart from research, Dr. Kapil Kumar has extensive administrative experience and is currently serving as Head of Department, (HOD) Civil Engineering Department; Chairman, Alumni, International Affairs & Public Relation and Co-ordinator of Think India. He also provides advisory services to the public institutions, professional organizations, environmental and water industry, and non-governmental organizations with the mission of improving the living conditions of underprivileged.
